Is this all over the U.S. or just VA

Interesting thing about that additive in Virginia, let me quote from the history of the Ethyl corp. that happens to be located in Richmond, VA

"In 1921 Charles Kettering discovered that a certain combination of chemicals added to gasoline could reduce the noisy and harmful engine knock produced by gasoline of that time. Kettering formed the General Motors Chemical Corporation, a joint venture between General Motors and Standard Oil of New Jersey in 1923. A year later, the company became Ethyl Gasoline Corporation and finally, Ethyl Corporation in 1942."

BTW, that additive was lead, and so it beganhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/editpost.php?s=&action=editpost&postid=2492997#

I've used Mobil 93 (w/10% ethanol) for the lifetime of my 78SC Euro (since ownership) with no issues. Alzo, I use Techron every 3K miles and have just changed the fuel filter.

I will agree that techron makes a real difference when used religiously.
