Wurth Stone Guard Spray

Just curious. I received a can of the stuff yesterday in the mail. First, is the stuff clear? Second, it says to scruff up the area to paint painted and the top coat. My idea was to put on where my rocker panals use to cover, I don't use them anymore. Is this the wrong stuff for the job? Any suggestions on application?

Thanks,

David

Not clear....Black, Grey or Beige. No scuffing required.

ooopps, sounds like you have the Aeresol spray (not the product requiring a gun)...that does come in clear....and fine texture. It also comes in Black, Grey or Beige.

Hi Rick, hope all is well. I think it is clear. I

guess I should check before i spray over my blue paint.

My fingers are crossed I don't mess this one up.

Hi Dave,

Would you be painting body color anyway? If so clear wont make a big deal. The challenge might be matching texture.

The area where the rocker covers use to cover is now coverless. I like the sleek look. Anyways, I originally thought i would cover the whole area in a sheet of adhesive plastic. Someone then recommended using this stuff. Maybe they misunderstood my intentions. I am not to worried about texture, this car will be seeing a lot of autocross in it's near future and less regular driving.

How much does the aerosol stuff cost? How many cans would be needed to do the floorpans? Within a couple more months, I'll be stripping Stinky's undercarraige, and I'm wondering if I should use the aerosol stuff, or get a small compressor, gun, and do it that way.

well it goes on over the primer and under the paint. so the paint in that area will have and orange peel rough looking finish. the amount of roughness depends on how many coats and distance the spray gun is held.
