info on engine storage
 

Hey guys, I have a 70 911E that I've been doing body restoration on and the car has been sitting for about 5 months now and will probably be at least that much longer till I'm done. I have gas stabilizer in the fuel. Is there anything that I can do to add oil to the cylinders? I like to crank over the engine without having fuel dump into it. What has to be disconnected for doing that?

My car has a fuel pump elec red relay in the trunk. When removed the fuel pump is disconnected. Don't know about your model?

You could stick an oil soaked rag in your exhaust pipe and over the intake. Carbed engines can be pickled by stalling the engine w/ Marvel Mystery Oil into all venturis at the same time but shouldn't be necessary if the engine is indoors. Marine gas inboard engines get that routinely for winter lay up around here. I've never pickled a CIS or MFI.
