Removing the Proportioning valve w/ 993 brake upgrade
Hey all
I am starting my 993 caliper upgrade on my car. I am searching searching searching for the thread where someone was talking about the solutions to removing the Proportioning valve. I recall someone had just made a new hard line to it (or from it on, I don't remember). They had also listed the lengths they bought at their local parts store too. I've gone nuts trying to find it and can't. Does anyone know this info or have a link to the thread? Thanks! |
I just removed the valve and rebent the line a bit, it fit fine into the master cylinder on my '87

On a Carrera it is simple, take the valve out (it is in the trunk near the M/C). Take it apart and remove the ball and spring inside it. Re assemble it and put it back in. You are done.

Thanks guys
The original poster stepped forward, and mentioned the same strategy as CBRacerX, which is to use some of the excess line to remove the PV. Peter's idea is good too, though I wouldn't want someone (a shop or owner after me) to see the PV there and assume that it means there is a working PV in place. |
See this thread: Help - carrera brake pressure valve change
