Cleaning exhaust flanges?
I just finished removing the stock exhaust system from my 79SC. It must weigh 70lbs. So far I have remove the A/C, heat and now exhaust and I think the car has lost atleast 100lbs.
I am looking for advice on cleaning up the exhaust flanges before I install a set of headers? Cheers John |

I had to recently clean up a gasketless exhaust surface, ended up using 80 grit sandpaper on an autobody rubber block.
