Car almost stalls out, is it alternater?
I wrote a while ago about my lights dimming at idle, but since I dont drive it at night this time of year, it didnt think about it. After a long drive yesterday, my engine would almost stall out at a stop. On the road it was ok. When I got home, at idle, it would almost stall again, lights would go out, idle would drop way down, but just for a second, then back up. Does this sound like a alternater. Belt is tight. Thanks for replys.

I would get the battery checked before I started looking at anything else,

Invest in a decent multimeter! You will use it for the rest of your life. It will quickly tell you if your battery is good and if your alternator is charging.
