Porsche pictures from the Long Beach Grand Prix today!
Went down since I heard that Porsche was going to be running, and had a great 4 hours with my daughter.

This guy Tom Hnatiw is always on SpeedChannel, and is driving some nice cars, always nice to see the bigger guys getting some wheel time.

1973911s,
In 10-15 years she is going to break some hearts. Everytime I see pics like these are start itching for some kids of my own.

Michael,
Looks awesome. When are you going to come out for another adventure with the SOCG? Haven't seen you since you sold the Targa.

The #23 came in second place. Way to go Porsche for the first time racing in Long Beach.
Chris, I need to get out, just been busy with getting the house ready for kid #2 coming in July. Michael

Cool stuff! I went down saturday and watched qualifying, then there was some drifting thing and then watched the dp's. Walking around the dp garages was fun, go to talk at length with pat long and mike rockenfeller. Two really nice guys, especially pat. Got to talk about the dp versus the P2 car, gt racing all that. Really fun time. Then I turn around and Alwin Springer is behind me with Alex Job asking why Norbert didnt show up. Such great stuff that the porsche racing teams are still frequented by the guys that did years working to get them there.
Afterwards mike said they were losing some coolant and had to top off at the pit stop then he was pushing really hard and flatspotted a tyre and couldnt really challenge for the lead after that. Seeing as they have minimal funding they have finished lets see, 3rd, 2nd and 1st in 3 races, not too shabby! What I really liked seeing was two factory guys racing in multiple series in totally different cars, brings to mind the days of old. Glad you had a great time, I hung around and ended up seeing Bad Religion for free, that was cool cheers

Mike,
Sorry I didn't get around to calling you while we were there. We did get to see the F-18's lining up off Huntington Beach preparing for the Gran Prix flyover.

Grand Am put restrictions on all the DP Porsche powered-cars before the race, adding 75 pounds and limiting revs to 9000. It's good to see them perform well in spite of that but I wouldn't be too surprised to see more weight added before VIR.

Do you think they'll adjust the V8's after they win a race???
