Will this fan fit me?

Hi everyone,
Happy new year etc to one and all. It's now cold and dull and I'm looking for a new project. Found this fan on ebay and was wondering if it'll fit my car. Its off a 930 1986 car but mines a 1977 C 3.0. Question is will it fit? My fans part number is 901106101 and the ebay one is 9301061024. I know there's some differences in the sizes but could anyone clarify if this might work for me. Many thanks
M

The fan will fit but why do you want it? Do you need it? The 77 C3 should have a 5 blade fan which should give you sufficient cooling in UK.
If you are worried about excess heat then change from the trombone oil cooler to the later 3.2 oil cooler with a thermo fan.
Don't forget the altenator is designed to work with the drive that it has now if you change to an incorrect fan with a bigger pulley you will slow up the alternator.

I take your point. The thing is that I'm running a 5 bladed fan and read somewhere they where put on the cars to lower the emissions, by running the engine hotter. My temps go pretty high stuck in London traffic in the hot summer. In the winter it's absolutely fine. A Carrera cooler is another way to do it as you suggested but that's more of a project, requires some welding and more cash of course!

Hey mingmong.......I had the same thing. Replaced my original 5 blade with an 11 blade. What a difference the 11 blade fan made on cooling!

For the price of the fan compared to replacing the trombone with a new cooler, it's not even close.

Sitting in Atlanta traffic is no longer an issue.

Good luck

Sean
