a-arm/ball joint separation from strut
hi guys, quick question, after removing the wedge pin from the ball joint is it recommended or necessary to relieve the tension on the torsion bar prior to separating the ball joint from the strut., or can the tension be believed after. The other side I did, I turned out the adjusting screw then separated the ball joint pin from the strut, then removed the a-arm with the torsion bar inside. Does it make a difference, before or after, Thanks Jerry

I just did this, but the torsion bars were out. In fact there's very little tension on the t-bar when the suspension is in full droop. You might have some resistance the other way though. ie rotating the a-arm down.
