It's true that black gets dirty the fastest, but I don't think I'll mind washing the Carrera in nice weather. My other car is an Accord and that is black, too. Maybe if I don't wash the Honda it will attract the dirt away from the Carrera, kind of a sacrificial anode?

I put my "toys" in winter storage here in Michigan, from early December to mid-April.

Here in MN. I choose to use from Dec. 1st to Apr. 15th as a rule of thumb.
Sometimes, December can be a good driving month, but usually the salt isn't washed down until 4-15.

Ahhh... Just when you think Winter is gone.

I put my engine back in last Sunday and have almost everything else ready to go. Yesterday was sunny and fairly warm (no snow on the ground) so I put in a few hours on it.

This is what it looks like out there this morning. YUK!

Here in upstateNY, I drive the 911 year around except for when the roads are icy or snow covered( no fun anyway). When there is a break in the weather and some rain to wash the salt off the roads I get out and enjoy driving in the cold air. If we get a 40 deg plus sunny day, I get to the car wash and pressure wash underneath.

This last mild winter, the longest no driving spell was about 2 weeks,

What emulsion do you recommend?

Look at the drain holes in the lower section of your rockers. If they are not there, make some. At the bottom of the A pillar there is a slot; the bottom of the B pillar is open. There are various holes in the front gas tank support, and so on. some you can see, some you can't. But, you can spray into the A pillar thru the dome light switch hole, etc.

Look up Carwell products: http://www.carwell.com/
This stuff is from your own country.
