check the ET of the wheel (in mm) then you need to do some maths to find the spacer wide you want, you need 23.3mm front and 17mm rear

Here they are!!!
If I have rubbing of the inside rim on the strut tower what would you advise??? .24 .5 1 or your 31.7 millimeters = 1.2480315 inches to clear the strut tower? Last edited by favrok01; 03-30-2006 at 06:32 AM.. |

Do you know the offsets of the wheels?
I am running 1.0 and 2.25 spacers on mine with the 993 wheels with 52mm front and 70mm rear offsets. 16x7 front, 16x9 rear Those wheels are killer but the spacers are expensive so be sure to get the right ones the first time if you do it.

So you need to mach the front to 23.3 mm and the rears to 15-17mm.
39-23.3=15.7mm front 52-17=35mm. rear note this is for 17" wheels

yes yes I have done some measuring and 15mm in front is dead nuts on!!!!
but... The rear are pretty damn BIG i brought it out to the end of the lugs and still had the bolts on the arms sort of nicking the tire. soooooooo.... Since the lugs are about 1 inch i think 1 1/4 will just do it...i hope. actually your dead nuts right about the rear too!! 35 millimeters = 1.37 so a little larger than 1 1/3 i know those bad boys are going to be sticking out ....DAMN! |

Has anyone posted a definitive chart or other reference compilation showing interchangeability with various models wheels and spacer requirements?
With original Fuchs prices for the 74-89 models going thru the roof, their age, limitrd sizes, etc, many budget minded enthusiasists are looking to use OEM wheels from other/later model P-cars to use for track or winter tires. (Apologies to the purists out there) For example, what do you need to adapt turbotwist or C2 wheels to an SC with regular flares. Which phone dials from the 944 or 928 work? What offset/backspace numbers do we need to look at. Granted, there are nice custom made wheels out there like the Kodiaks or Lindseys, but at $1600/set and more, many of us are looking for something OEM that we can use. About the only thing many of us are sure of is that the bolt pattern is a 5X130mm unique to Pcars .
