Black wheels, you waxed it - and you replaced the stone guards, deleted the rear bumber guards and added H4's

bigrubberjeep 04-06-2006 10:28 AM

Good eye, but there is more........

Puka Puncha 04-06-2006 10:36 AM

Car looks frickin wicked...makes me want to paint mine black.

stormmaster 04-06-2006 10:36 AM

I did the same look on my rear bumper...get it back from the body shop Monday....nice looking car

Are the foglights gone?

greglepore 04-06-2006 10:43 AM

Not sure that's not too much black, but that's a personal preference, I think the car would look awesome with RSR finish wheels.

Yes - I removed them since they don't seem to be needed much, reduced a little weight and gave more airflow to the oil cooler. I also closed off the oil cooler compartment to keep the air from escaping from underneath with some aluminum sheeting.

There is no such thing as too much black. J/K All I did was paint the wheels over, less maintenance then any other combo and WAY less maintenance then RSR, not saying I don't like RSR, but I am not trying to mis-represent my car as one either.

Yup., bumper pads.

Jack Olsen 04-06-2006 10:58 AM

That looks pretty awesome.

Does it make you wish the interior was black, too?

Hum.....that's my biggest dilemma with my car right now, I like black interiors, but the contrast of the cashmere is so nice with the black paint, not to mention tolerable in the summer. I actually PLAN on getting some PP like your Jack but hopefully with cashmere color leather to keep the color codes original, same with the RS door panels I have in my garage, they will eventually be color coded to the stock cashmere (some day). Then again I'm not set in stone with my decision so it may stay black after the interior upgrades.

Very stelthy & looks awesome! Clear front turn signals w/yellow bulbs would finish her off nicely.

you also used to get the spot all the way on the end.
what happened? get in a little late?

drl911 04-06-2006 11:40 AM

Awesome!!!

What, no black lug nuts!?!?!?! Are you trying to draw attention?

:D

JeremyD 04-06-2006 11:41 AM

and you parked between two civilian cars - hello door dings - what the hell you thinking?? ;)

bigrubberjeep 04-06-2006 12:03 PM

Returned from lunch and got the spot on the end, some whipper snapper had taken my spot in the morning. I let him have it when I got in.

Ok, not really, I'm only here part time so I come in a little later. (1 snooze and I lose my spot)

Looks great BRJ! I'm with Jack on the black interior. It would look so sinister to have everything blacked out. The coupe I just bought is dark blue (looks black in certain light) with a black interior, and black-centered fuchs. It's a great look.

Thank you - Like I said, I might end up with black, fortunetly it will be black before I go back to tan so I get to try it for a while. My #2 concern is the heat that black atracts since I plan on removing the A/C (does not cool well anyhow)

}{arlequin 04-06-2006 12:40 PM

that's how they should've come from the factory. the blacker the better ;)
