1978 SC Wiring Harness installation

In looking at the parts diagram here I see that each wire end has a letter, A - M, etc. Are these letters on a new wiring harness to enable installation? If not how would I know which wire goes where. Learning as I go.

Thanks,

Tom

Should have read "Engine Wiring Harness"

Anyone install a new one of these?

just to confirm, you're talking about the harness that plugs into the 14 pin connector, then goes over towards the engine, where it branches off to the coil, sensors, sending unit, alt, etc? if so, its pretty much a plug and play. If you overlay across the motor, everything lines up to where they hook up.

Great, just wanted to make sure. Color coding would not work for me because I'm color blind.

Thanks,

Tom
