Rear window seal
Hi Pelicans,
I've been lurking on this site for a year or two. I just found the 89 Carrera in February. I've posted a couple of pics of my new baby below. I liked the license plate but changed it because I wanted to lessen my chances for tickets! My question is about the rear window seal on my friend's 82 SC. We got the seal from pelican and installed it today. Everything I've read said that the seal was gonna be a PIA to get on the window. When we did the install today, the seal was very easy to get on the glass. There was actually no resistance. The window is original glass. Is this going to seal well? So far it's passed a light hose test. Any thoughts? Thanks. Don

Its the Targa rear that can be difficult.....not the coupe rear.

If there are defoster wires to deal with, the coupe rear window can be quite challenging.

Thanks tsuter and Jim. The car is a coupe and it does have the defroster wires. No problems there. I thought that the rubber seal was going to be a tight fit around the window. All in all, the seal ended up relatively tight once we got the window in.
