Fresh Air Blower question

as some of you may know I am in the process of going through Scruffy's interior. I have the seats, dash, glass, door panels and carpet out. under the list of 'while I am in there' I have replacement of the fresh air blower motor. I'd like to inquire with you fine people about this - is there a 'better' more powerful one available? I realize that mine is 30+ years old so anything 'new' will be an improvement.

thanks for your input

Mine burned out after 20 years. I bought a new one from an ebay store. Figure it is good for another 20 years.

james, i've not heard of a better or newer motor available. that said, the original that's still working in my '74 is sufficient, imho. since all it does is provide airflow to the window, etc. and not for cabin cooling, don't know that much more airflow is all that helpful..of course, 'more anything is always better' with these cars..

No. I was just glad it was working again. It was just like before.

I am really interested in finding an improvement. My thinking is that there must be a 'better way'.

It is just a simple electric motor. I am sure you can get a more powerful one. I will say that when I looked for one locally, I had to luck.

it the motor is shot and a new one is big bucks you should be able to have that one rebuilt. Or ask a rebuilder if he can zoom it up.

thanks Ronnie, that is a good idea. I don't know if I have someone local to send it to but I'll see what I can find out. Hope all is well with you.
