Michigan Porsche Swap Meet April8

I am posting this for all of our Michigan Pelicanites. I recieved this through my PCA chapter.

April 8
Porsche of Farmington Hills(Bill Cook) from 10am to 1pm
We should try to make it a Pelican meeting up event.

I hope no-one minds my posting.

Thanks Wayne. I got that email yesterday and you beat me to the post. I'll be at the swap meet. We missed you at the Mid-winter Blues party last Saturday at Glenn's house. If you can, join us at Bakers for a beer at the board meeting tomorrow night.
RSR is also having a Dent removal gathering on 3-18. More info is available by PM, email, or the RSR-PCA website for non RSR members.

Cool, I get to see Porsches without having to look at a computer moniter! What kind of turn out does this event get?

It depends on the progress on my car at that point in time.

I noticed the other day that the spring plate bushings on my car were shot so now I am contemplating a full suspension upgrade. I plan to take a week off this month if I can to try to do my wheel bearings, suspension bushings, and brake upgrade all in one fell swoop if I can get it done in one week!

I'll let you know as the date approaches if I'm going to make it.

I hope to have the car on the road by then so I have 2-3 weeks to shake it down before hitting the track with it.

This is the first one I have heard about in quite a while. If you have stuff to sell, contact the S.E.Michigan Porsche Club for info on booth space.
I like going to swap meets but will probably never get to Hershey so this is cool. If anything, it's a chance to meet up with fellow car guys and bullsh--.

If you guys from West Michigan want to hook up let's get plans to meet somewhere down near AnnArbor that day. It would ne sweet to converge on the event like a Pelican swooping down to get a fish.(Ok. that was dumb. It's been a long day.)

Yes, I belong to RSR. It's an offshoot of the SEMichigan club.
Where are you located?
As I have said before, this group is more about driving than wine and cheese. The members are really great people.

Jim D.--We are geting close to the baby arriving so we are sticking close to home, just in case. Not that I don't trust you knuckleheads, but I would just as soon have a doctor deliver our daughter than car guys.

Hopefully, the weather will be nice in April. This is going to be a great time.

I want to hook up with the RSR guys sometime in the near future. Keep me informed if you get the chance. I have a few things I would like to get rid of but I don't need a booth, any suggestions?

I'll make it to the swap meet but since my car is still sitting in the garage and I haven't even started my suspension, I doubt I'll be bringing my car. Not sure if I'll make it to the dent clinic this weekend but I'll try.

Also, update your calendars for the Ann Arbor Rolling Sculpture Car Show on July 14th. It's a fun and casual event with a lot of great cars.

That's funny, Kurt.
I called my brother tonight to tell him about the day. The first thing he asked about was if you were bringing the 930. I guess he likes it.

For what it's worth, I have used a local to me dent removal guy. He did excellent work. My car is no where near perfect but he did make a big difference.

- I'm in Livonia, about 15 minutes from cook porsche/audi. As my car is in boxes waiting for me to get back to it, I'm more beer & chips than I am driving for now...

I'm not against buying more parts though, It will be interesting to see what's available...
