Here she is.. SPY shots from the RING of the 997 GT3RS

It's on a C4s tub and mean as all F*ck looking I think .. I would however like to see the work on the rear tail end tips plates a bit more.
but otherwise she is a MEan looker and I happen to love it!

How can you tell it's an RS? What's the difference between the standard GT3 and the RS?

The Standard 997 GT3 has already been shown to the public in a narrow body and it has a street style rear wing.
The 997 GT3RS is as shown a widebody tub and it has the carbon ( more CUP style ) rear wing... and all.
keep in mind now it's not going to show all of it's goodies yet as it's a test mule and just lapping the Ring for data I am sure..
but the two cosmetic thing that seperate the GT3 and the GT3RS is the wide/narrow body and the small and larger tails on the two cars and that is keeping real simple .... there will be more internal change as well...... not to mention the RS will be lighter.!

Think the start of the license plate is a fluke, or a ref to our own Jack Olsen? =)

Also, does it have black rims on one side, and silver on the other? Weird...

FWIW, BB = Böblingen, the district where the car is registered.

But yeah, let's go with Black Beauty!

I think the guy was snapping pics from the day…… The Porsche crew may have been swapping wheels out. some were black and some were satin..

Yeah I agree..
it is one of the best looking 911's out.
The 997 GT3 is a Great car and the RS will take it a level higher

Is the GT3 RS coming to the US? If so, when?

I have no doubt that they all have purpose but they just feel little overly styled on the front. Porsche has a fantastic ability to make subtlety of line speak volumes, they kind of missed that on the front end of this car.

My sentiment goes for some of the intake on the Cayman too.

n

Edit: Don't get me wrong though, this car is hot and I don't think it's looks bad at ALL. The front just doesn't seem very "porsche"

Here is it is.. before they threw the RS tail on it..
it's still the widebody RS with a standard GT3 tail..
note: the orange paint that is trying to be hidden by the black vynil that they cover the cars in.. as the 997 GT3 RS's will be offered up in the good ole 70's colors viper green, Orange and others..
should be sweet!.
