Breather hose locations?
Hi all,
I'm reinstalling my engine and am wondering if any of you can tell me for sure where these hoses go. (I didn't label them upon removal!) I have them hooked up already be I'd thought I'd ask to be sure. One of them is hooked to the carbon filter box over by the oil filler neck. The other leads to a hole in the body near the top of the left shock and I don't know where it goes from there. Can anyone with a 1978 SC verify that I've hooked these back up correctly? Thanks a bunch. ![]()

The first hose is a breather from the charcoal canister.
The second one is not a breather, it's the vacuum hose for the Servo brake booster on the master cylinder. Make good connections on any vacuum hoses; there are many, and you don't want them to leak.
