Carerra 3.0 trailing arms........

I'm having a problem with the rear anti-roll bar mounts on my trailing arms. Things have worn and there is play in the ball and socket joint. I believe part E911 331 915 00 is a replacement ball joint to fit to the trailing arm.

Does anybody know for sure?

Jon

I've already replaced the bush/cup and its loose enough for it to fail the MoT here in the UK.

I can get it through the test by removing the bar altogether, then putting it back on once i've got the pass. But it would be nice to fix it if its easy/cheap

I had a similar problem to this with my ball-type rear links. They links opened up (its just a strap of metal bent over and twisted) and it gave the bushing a lot of play. I hammered them back together and then welded the seam to make make sure they wouldn't separate again.

Sorry pictures arent that great, but there arent any big wear marks. There isnt a huge amonut of play either, but in the inspectors opinion its too much.

Your hardware looks perfectly fine. Can you get a different inspector?
