Show me your painted valve covers
Last night I decided to flaunt my bachelorhood and put my valve covers in the dishwasher. What a fool I used to be! A lot of the silver paint peeled off. Now I need to get this cleaned up and repainted in the next week or so. I think I'll stick with this color scheme, but was wondering what else is out there.

Hmmmm. I like the black. What's the best way to strip the old paint completey off? Wire wheel? Chemicals? Or just scuff up and spray over it?
