RSR front/rear bumper rubber seals. Where to buy?
 

Anyone know where I can buy the front rubber seal for the RSR style bumper on an early car (1970)? Also the rear bumper extensions, if they're still available. Pelican doesn't carry either one. Thanks in advance.

I'm still looking for the front bumper seal... Any sources out there?

How much longer would you estimate you need for an RSR?

For reference I just did my RS and I cut an inch from both ends when I was done.

For the front the stock one rubber is long enough to work on a RSR. Thats what we use.

Excellent, I thought the stock one wasn't long enough because of the extra bends on the turbo flares. Now that I know it's been tried and tested, I'll order the stock one. Great news, thanks again.

Can someone describe how to get the rubber bead on this seal (between the fenders) back into the metal runner that holds it???

I'm talking about the front seal

Will you share your wisdom (trick) on how to get this rubber bead back into place. It looks like it will slide back in but I'd like to hear from someone that has done it.

It's a tricky seal and it's probably because most of these are aftermarket... ? It doesn't line up as good as one would think. I ruined one before I got mine right... luckily they're not terribly expensive.

One thing worth mentioning is that I cut mine in 3 pieces and re-glued it and added a rubber insert between the cuts so it wouldn't split. It gave me a bit of flexibility but after it's all said and done, you probably just need to trim with a razor blade the areas that don't sit well.

It's good to know with a lot of patience . . . I can get this back on.

It appears that I need to compress the rubber bead on the seal and push it into the metal runner that holds the middle part of the seal to the body.

I've already sacrificed one front bumper seal trying to get the fit right. My second one is one the way from Stoddard's so I'll try again this weekend.

I'll besure to have some sharp razor blades handy too.

BTW, your car looks great.
