Input needed on stainless steel heat exchangers
Does anyone have any experience with Dansk stainless steel heat exchangers vs SSI units? Any other recomendations?
Thanks, Mike |

I just installed a pair of the Dansk stainless exchangers last night. I can't speak on their quality vs. the SSIs, but they are very nice units and seem to be well-made. Very little 'massaging' was required on install. Email Wayne regarding pricing of these units before you order.

Dansk makes a good product, but the SSI's are a true work of art. Course once they are on the car, it's hard to see the artwork. Also, SSI's are tuned headers inside. Not sure if Dansk is or not. As for the SSI's no massaging is needed at all to install them. They fit.

I bought DAnsk because they were cheaper and I was in a pinch. If I would do it agian I would go ssis they are much higher quality but both are very nice

i presently have the ssi's on my 3L
they seem very very nice, though of course after 3 years they are dis-coloured. one thing i don't like about them in the collector, its like a 3 prong fork instead of a circley thing, poor airflow....better then not tuned, but the B&B headers i just ordered are a real work of art...though only nessecary for more then 3L. i'd highly recommend the ssi's, and then a nice free flowing muffler to get every last hp out of your dollar. |
