Injector Sleeves / O-rings

Has anyone ever change their injector sleeves and o-rings? When I pulled out mmy injectors some of the sleeves were so bad and hard that pieces stuck to the injector o-rings.

I have new ones and wanted to see if there is a trick or what to watch out for.
Thank's
Dirck

Dirck,

You don't say what model you have, or engine. Mine was a 75 2.7L with CIS. I had the intakes off the car, and the injector sleeves were lightly swedged in. I just touched the swedge with a grinder bit on a Dremel tool - just for a second, and the sleeves would come out very easily. After installing the new ones, with new O rings, I staked them in place with a center punch. It was very easy and quick.

Not sure about the sleeves, but the O-rings can be removed using a tap that is close in size (not sure of the exact size). A friend of mine used this trick to replace the O-rings on my 2.7 CIS.
