Testing Oxygen Sensor?

Guys,

I decided to re-install the Oxygen Sensor to the Motronic brain to improve gas mileage, however, in order for it to fit properly with the turbo setup, I've had to extend the length of the wire by splicing (soldering) some extra length in there.

When I measure the resistance between the two female pins, I get a reading of approx 50 ohms. Is that normal, or have I introduced some extra resistance in there which has screwed the O2 Sensor?

What does it typically measure at?

Will this cause any issues with the DME mixture?

Actually, the two female pins I refer to above is the heater circuit within the sensor and that gets 12v from the battery.

The male pin (1) is the signal to the DME.
