72 oil tank into an earlier car
I'm building a 911R replica and wondered if anyone out there had fitted a 1972 fender mounted oil tank, they mount(as I'm sure you all know) forward of the right rear wheelarch.
Any help on how it's done would be great Thanks Ian

I recall some old threads with people mounting the 964 or 993 oil tanks to different cars. One vintage is plastic and maybe lighter wt.
There are also threads re the adv. of this - I doubted there was much until I found an old Porsche ad saying it moved the CG 6 inches. I think you are going to be spending some time with the search engine. You won't want it to take oil & tank as two separate items - be sure they are considered together. Yo might post a compilation of info you find.

The cooler lines are unique to '72 as well. At least on the street cars....
