AC, ITalian tune-ups, and help for a gloomy pelican

hey

this is a three prong-er!

1) My 88 coupe has the r134A conversion professionally done but has not had a recharge under my 8 month ownership- I have read a million things on AC etc in earlier 911's and some on the r134A abroad and here on the board- the guy i was sent to by a pro shop here in LA said that i may still be disappointed and he says forget it- not the usual from a guy who makes his $ doing AC- so, what do you guys with coversion done think? does it actually cool the car of not- i live in Los Angleles, avg temp of 75plus---

2) for you Italian tune-upers . . . provided oil is nice and hot can i/ should i redline her every time or nearly everytime i drive her- 5-6 days a week for about 15o weekly--- i don't mean the whole drive but if i get a nice open stint is it good to run it up in each gear to redline once? (i use techron every 3k so besides the addictive thrill factor is this okay or necessary? i do love the pull and the sound! though please note that i do not rip it all day- no way, just like to do it one every drive or two- thoughts?

3) this guy

is bummed cause he read some stuff about G50's -- i told him that the 84-86 carrera is highly reviewed and a great car- can anyone find in the search the car & driver review of the 84 carrera posted several months ago- i couldn't find it, the one with he nun resting on the carrera- so cool. i think it would cheer him up so if you locate it please post it- it's a great read and makes me wann drive immediately after reading it!

take care all

#1 - What is the A/C system doing now? If it has no charge then charge it up yourself. You can buy a gauge kit for $50 and r134a is only $10/can.

#2 - I'd say rev as much as you like after reaching full operating temperature. Also, try not to actually hit the rev limiter.
