Wheel bearings SKF part number?
Hi,
Does anyone knows the SKF part number for the wheel bearings (front and rear) for a '76 911 S? I live out of the US and getting this parts from a Porsche dealer is always much more expensive. Thanks

Hi,
The front wheel bearings are common to many german cars, not sure how many, but the front ones are the same as mercedes (no difference al all) I know this because i replaced mine on the front of my 76 911 targa, when the word porsche comes into the fray prices seem to rise rapidly. Itīs probably best to go straight to SKF with the measurments instead of the porsche dealer or spares department, your wallet wonīt be hit as hard that way. Shawn. |

Check this:
Rear Wheel Bearing Specs? Don't bother about the bearings numbers, just go to your local bearings dealer and tell what you need - they got all info in catalogues. /Jack Last edited by 911S77; 04-27-2006 at 02:11 PM.. |
