Tail rubber question

Just bought a turbo tail and decklid, these are OEM parts. I would preffer the Carrera style rubber lip but mine has the turbo style lip.
Are the two tail rubbers interchangeable?

The rubber is interchangeable. I have seen many do it. I do not know however if you need to redrill any holes

You CAN put a Carrera lip on a turbo spoiler, but don't get the idea that they are interchangeable. You will have to add a couple of holes, and the rubber just quite doesn't line up. I used Scotch electrical tape to hide the discrepancies in the tail, but plan to go back and paint it in the future. It'll be easier if your car is black. As soon as I get any time I'll try to post some pix.

why do you want a smaller lip on the bigger tail base?

From what I've read, I think RUF, almost as much downforce with less drag. Plus, it looks more proportionate on a SC/Carrera body.

I have a turbo and carrera tail and I've investigated this and decided against it. CRNT918 has it right - you will have to drill holes, and the rubber won't line up quite right. That was enough for me to veto the idea...

Thanks for the info yall, based on the fact that the Carrera rubber wont fit exactly .............I AINT gonna change.
It was something I was thinking about and since I have the whole thing apart for painting this would be a good time for any changes.
