I need help. I broke the hood release lever, because i tried to open the hood and yanked it to hard.
Is there another way to open the hood? ThanX!! |

Hmm,
In my Haynes there is a procedure to cut an access hole to release a stuck trunk lid. I am somewhat concerned though since, by design, the hood latches are supposed to release when you pull the handle or a cable breaks, If the cable brakes, the spring takes out the remainder of the slack to release the hood. I recall a number of posts about stuck hoods and a search using terms like: stuck hood latch should turn them up. As I recall, pushing and applying some force sideways sometimes works. Going down a rough road may also jar it loose. Good luck!

I found it, send me your email and I'll send it to you. It involves removing the bumber and drilling a hole.

I can't get it to post, the file is too large and I don't know how to reduce the file size.

Before cutting holes, try this.....Push down and over to one side or the other as hard as you can.....I've done it before and it works...
