Front spoiler as jack point?

I'm kidding because I'm loving all the replies to my other post. See you all back on page 3.

Yes, use the spoiler in front, muffler in back.

Also, please be sure to raise/slam your decklid by the tail (if attached), push down your manual antenna by the topmost skinniest section, and shift your 901/915 as quickly and forcefully as you can muster.

I also find it is best to warm up my engine by redlining it from the start, but only after I've added a few extra quarts of oil above "full" - just to be sure.

Now THAT is beyond amazing..

Darwin...where are you when you are needed?

(Do ya think the brainiac did a fissure study of each rock before placing them??)

The only "tragedy" that could result here is if the rocks don't collapse...or if he survives if they do collapse....

You suppose he's checking the runout on his rear hub?

Does not work with cabs or targas:

Sunroofs are really easy as you can just open it and slide a chained railroad tie in.

Pour oil under both rear wheels.

Block and tackle centered above car in big beam.

Wrap large chain around tire and axle.

Run the chain through the block and tackle.

Thread the chain through both drivers and passenger opened windows and reconnect as close to roof as possible.

Start car, drop clutch and floor it. Pulls her right up.

Caution: May cause fender damage.

LSD's take a little more work though.

Hope this helps.

come on guys, everybody knows that it's much easier to just drive up a telephone pole guidewire at about 40 mph. Great under-car access. Also works for checking pans for rust while you're test driving a car.

I've seen that before. Nice welder! Isn't that the gas tank right there?
At least the 4 x 4s aren't fracture prone, although the anchorig technique could use a little work.
Note the tailights...reflector strips!

If you are going to jack up the front by the chin spoiler, then at least use a Cool Collar for safety. After all, you wouldn't want it to overheat now would you?

GREAT, informative thread! Highly recommend turning into a sticky - must - read for newbies.

I like to suggest opening the doors and then jacking up by the outboard most portion of the door. The extra leverage is your friend!

I had to learn all the good stuff the hard way, now it's all condensed down into one easy thread.

Great work fellas!

Doug

Front spoiler? That's just crazy talk. Everybody knows that the fog lights are the only safe lifting spot on the front of a 911, and the bumper pads in the rear.

Hmmmmmmm... bet those would be lighter than the "R" taillights.
