Another Introduction
I am new to this board and wanted to introduce my 1982 911SC. I've had her for just over a year.
As a kid, I always wanted a Porsche. When I was 16 I had an orange 1973 Karmann Ghia - always pretended it was a 911 ... you can see some similarities. My father calls my 911 a glorified Ghia ... kinda funny. Anyhow, here are a couple of pics. Chiffon-Weiss with brown interior color combo. Mostly stock with the common upgrades - momo steering wheel, short shifter, etc. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1146271892.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1146271954.jpg |
Welcome to the Board, Craig. Great looking car. It is one of my favorite color combos. Are you coming up to Porschefest (PCA) in June?
One suggestion. . . Euro H-4's. ;) |
Very nice car! I'll second the Euro H4s
|
Very nice. Also my favorite combination, including the wheels and two-tone interior.
|
yes ... the H4s ... well, i will get around to that someday. Do you guys prefer that I keep them painted or leave them as they come in the kit (chrome!?)?
I'd like to find out more about the June event ... is it in NC? |
Craig, Porschefest is the annual Carolina PCA gathering. It is in Charlotte this year. Follow this link: http://www.carolinas-pca.com/
Scroll down to the link for the April issue of Tobacco Roads. You'll find an application for the event as well as more info. |
Awesome car and I really like the color! I'm not biased at all:

Hi; nice car!
|
Welcome !
Interior looks very exclusive. Happy driving ! |
Great looking SC! I love the color combo too. Very close to mine (GP white, burgundy interior). Hope to see you at PorscheFest! Of course, I have to make it too...;)

Thanks for the warm feedback.
Wow ... I never realized how much better the H4s looked. Now that I see the side-by-side comparisons, I think that will be my next upgrade. So ... again ...should i get paintable or chromed? |

Nice car, Craig!
I like that brown interior. Here's my '84 in Chiffon white, but with Grey Beige inside. I'm going to upgrade to Euro H-4's soon too, and think the painted rims look better on this car than the chrome ones. -Paulhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1146360880.jpg |
Hey Paul, the house looks great!
You wannna grab some lunch tomoroow? We can talk airlines and Porsches. |
Oops, I almost forgot.
Welcome to the forum, mca. Very nice car you have there.:D |
I have tried both the painted and chromed rings installed, and I liked the chromed ones better. I felt that since I don't have the white wheel rims, the chrome accented my rims better than the painted ones. (Just my .02)

I personally like painted rings on SCs and Carreras. Like everyone else has said though - personal preference.
|
Wow very sexxy....I really like the white matched Fuchs...
Congrats. Yasin |
Great pcar!
Nice color, I also have 84 Carrera in chiffon the brown interior. I was never a big fan of white cars but I do like the chiffon, it's a small club. |
