Brake Light Always On

81 911 SC. This is the light that goes on when you set the ebrake. When completely released light doesn't go off. Master cylinder is in good shape. No leaks. Brakes great. No drips on O-sensor. Ideas for fix?

Does your cruise control work? I think the MC brake light switches are in the CC circuit.

I'll have to check. I never use it.

Well I followed the links provided. I disconnected the light inside the dash and then plugged it in again. The light is now working properly. Go figure! It's been like that for a year and fixed in 2 minutes. Thanks emcon5 for steering me in the right direction.
