Where to grease a squeaky wheel?
I have a nagging high pitched squeak going on in the front left wheel of my 78 SC. I was thinking of going under there this afternoon and hitting the sway bar bushings with some M1 synthetic grease. The noise completely goes away with the slightest touch of the brake pedal, but once you let off the brake, squeak starts again. Anyone experience this or know where specifically i should grease (or anyone wanna stop me from putting synthetic grease on anything before i kill myself? Ha)

Yeeeeeaaaahhhh, you 're not gonna want to grease what's squeaking, cause it's most likely your brake pads. It sounds like you have the starting symptom of a sticking caliper. Might as well order up the parts to rebuild all four. Do a search here for the tips on how to get the job done. It's very simple but you should read what other's have run into before starting.

Does it squeak all the time or just when cold (couple mins at the begining of the drive)?

It sounds like the "squeakers" on the pads are contacting the rotor - sounds like time for new pads.

Brakes. Check them for thickness. If they are still good, check for a slight bevel on the leading edge (needs to be there). You could also check the piston angle fo the 20*. That's in the 101 Projects book, Haynes and Bentley.
