Weekend update-Project Euro Cab-weekend from...........

First let me say this, the rear bushings on the control arms are a *&%#%&*&((*** Geesh..........

I went to lower the but end of the car and the bushing just fell apart when I took the right arm off the torsion bar. I am glad I had spare ones from my Targa I sold 6 months ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, fixed that PITA, then went to refinish the Fuchs, I scuffed em with a scotch brite pad, prepped the wheels with TP and then, masked em off. Of couse you can guess what happened next.........

Yep, fish eye from He!!

So, go to the automotive paint supply store and got some Aircraft stripper and stripped the wheels. My wheels had 4 different paint layers before mine: green, black, white and black. The paint was nasty coming offf the wheels and then the fumes, man I was high as a kite

At this point, I figured I might as well paint them the same color as the car. Back to the paint supply store with the fuel door so they could match the color. Got the paint, went home, got tanked last night with the wife and some friends thet came over and passed out.

Woke up at the crack of dawn and finished the 911 today about 1/2 hr ago. Wheels are painted, home alingment and still feel like I got nothing done as I did not install the front spoiler nor did I get 1/2 the things like clean and paint engine bay......

At least the car is at correct Euro ride height 25.5 front, 25.0 rear. I need to get some tires as the front tires are not the right size 205/50r15 and rear is 225/50r15.

Well, thanks for letting me vent a little as it has been a weekend from he!!

Here are the final pics:

Nice job on the wheels... Riding kind of high though, don't you think?

It has 15 inch wheels on it. The ride height is set at euro, once I get the front spoiler and tail on her, we'll see how she looks then. I am sure I am going to mess with the height again
