"Rides" featuring Porsche
Hey did anyone catch the "Rides" episode on Discovery HD last night. It was truly one of the best episodes yet. They featured almost an hour on nothing but Porsche mainly centering on Jay Leno driving his Carrera GT at Talladega. It was him and a professional driver (cant remember his name). Jay actually spun out a "beater" black Carrera GT (didn't hit anything but cool). They were joking about having a "beater GT". Jay ran was doing laps in the 170's and I think 180 then the professional set a record at 196 (I think) in a bone stock carrera GT. They also features other P-cars and Spyder replicas. Even better - It was in HD. I know it comes on many more times this month. Check it out if you can.

Don't get that programming here, but I think the pro driver was David Donahue, current Rolex Sportscar driver for Brumos Porsche, and son of Mark Donahue, who is notable for his development of, and wins in, the original IROC and in 917s.

I've seen it before and it's very good. It had been on Discovery Channel (not HD) a few times in the past year or so. And yes, the other driver is David Donohue, Mark Donohue's son.

It used to be on Tuesdays, just before or after Overhaulin'. I haven't seen it in a while.
