Question sway away adj. spring plate ?

Hello

I am helping a freind install a used sway away on his 73 911

Is there a specific angle or pre-load as to where the outer plate goes?

well one side is adjusted to bring car height up all the way but it is still a bit low, does this mean we need to reindex the outer plate?

thanks for the info

The procedure is wordy, so I'll point you to Pelican's Tech pages or to the many threads on the archive ("corner height", "ride height", "adjust spring plate", etc.). Briefly, both inner and outer splines need to be reset to get close to the desired ride height.

I think the screws are for fine-tuning the ride height, and are best when they're shorter. Reindex the bar, then fine tune when the suspension settles.
