Has the SOCG been slipping since my departure? I still miss those runs up Ortega and the BBQs. How's your F-car Richard?

Here's a pic of my new ride at an AX last weekend.

Nice choice Jon especially on the 74 part. Although, you know I am partial to Guards Red.

After the inspirational post above from the SOCG Official Pace Car Driver. I would like to begin planning for a run next month.

I will throw some choices out based on the discussions on the last few runs. I know in the past we had some interest in a Big Bear run so consider this the discussion thread. Let me know your interest and what days you have available.

Choice 1: Ortega Highway Run
Choice 2: Big Bear Run

BIG BEAR!!! Any weekend is good for me in May other than the 13th-14th.

There is a PCA event near Westlake on May 20th, but that's negotiable.

I have been on a couple of big bear runs with another group and it's a real nice drive. We would meet in redlands at the starbucks and run up the hill and meet at the golden pan resturant witch had plenty of parking in the rear. Jim

I am pretty doubtful that I will finish my G50 conversion in time for this run. If you guys are doing Big Bear, you need to do it again when Im done with my car. Should be done within two months (hopefully).

If you don't mine the Boxster dragging behind, Big Bear on the 21 or the 27 is good. And thanks for letting Us tag along last time, it was nice meeting you guys.

Letting you tag along. Please. Boxsters are true Porsches and most of our old 911's would have a very difficult time staying with a relatively new Boxster in the twisties.

I may love 911's but I take nothing away from a Boxster. Hell of a car.

Hi Guys,

I was just thinking it was time for a good run.

Big Bear Sounds Great. Just have to be a few hours after the skiers (if there is still any snow).

Planning on getting a Steve Wong Chip this week. Can't wait to see what it will do!!

I will check my dates as well.

I'm in. Would be nice if others from the L.A. area were to go as well. Dan in Pasadena, you wanna go?

Dave

EDIT: I am going to be in Visalia next weekend (5-7) for a R/C glider contest.

Sniff...sniff....you guys like me, you really like me!

Oh I definitely want to go. Not sure what weekend I can make it though. I'd prefer later in the month. If I can, I'll be there. All kidding aside, thanks for asking me Dave/all.
