Back dating from 74 to 73?
If I wanted to backdate a car from 74 to 73 and had the fenders and a long hood, how much work is it to hang sheet metal and make it work? Is the 74 hood the same as a 73 or are they different? Would the 74 hood work with the 73 fenders? Just curious cause if its not a bolt on project, I couldnt take on any project like this. Thanks, Mark

See the "ultimate backdate" thread. 74 to 73 backdate shouldn't be be much different than an 89 to 73 backdate.
Apparently there are vendors who make this easier than it could be. Apparently (forgive but I forget the posters name) they make a fiberglass longhood that utilizes existing latch mechanisms. Also you wouldn need new fenders/wings and rear bumper. |

Wow, I would've thought that the light reciever areas are totally different!! Look at the rear of a 73 and the rear of 74 or 75. the rear bumpers are sooooo different! Any one think so?
