Need Denver Alternator Help

Hello Denver P-car people,

I am going to attempt to troubleshoot and probably eventually replace the alternator in my 1982SC. I have not attempted this before on the Porsche, but I did replace one in my 1967 Buick Riviera many, - MANY years ago.

I am looking for a volunteer (reads beer and Porsche talk) who can look over my shoulder and guide me as I go along preventing me from making that fatal error. I have read all the procedures that I can get my hands on and it does not sound that difficult, but there is always a dark window of doubt in the back of my head. I am fearless but sometimes do not think it all the way through.

I live in south Denver. (Colorado and Hampden area) I would like to get this done in the next week or two.

Please do not hesitate to PM me or email me.

Thanks everyone for the help.
