Distributor help 911SC

I started digging around today and before you know it I had dismantled my entire distributor.

Funny...huh?

Anywho...... It was filled with poo and chuncky metal things that appear to have at one time been thin washers.

I need the washers and the locking ring to repair this beast.

However I thought it would be worth a try to see if ant of you way cool pelicanites Had a spare lying about that you may not be using right now and could let go for a reasonable sum.

My wife has reminded me that it was working before I started taking it apart.

Anyways you all have a great spring and let me know if you have a distributor for me.

PART # 0 237 306 001

Or if you know where I can just get the guts.

Did the snap ring go into an unknown, low orbit, or break???

You should be able to find suitable snap rings at a bearing supply store. Maybe the shims and spring washers, too ... or try a shop that rebuilds alternator, generators, and motors.

Back in the old days [when motors were designed to be repaired, not thrown away] ... you could find all of those parts at a well-stocked hardware store ... but, then things changed in the '70s!

Thanks Warren,

My snap ring not only went into orbit but it snapped, I new it was going to as soon as I started cussing at it. I will fix it the right way. Time is a problem and I would like a spare anyway.

Remember that the SC dizzy spins in the opposite direction to all the other models... You want to source an SC specific spare
