911 Carrera 3.2 Blue Thunder Ignition cables, Tell me more about them.

I bought these about 1-year ago for my 3.2L rebuild project but I don't know much about them, has anyone used them before. They are copper core with fiberglass braiding and have a silicon outer jacket. I plan to use an MSD and was wondering if these will still work fine, they also have Beru OEM W. Germany rubber ends.

Thanks,

Alex

No specific knowledge of that product, however, you should be aware that MSD emphatically recommends that solid-core wires NOT be used with their ignition units!

My contention, having seen plenty of MSD boxes used with solid-core wires ... they are just trying to take the legalese path to divert complaints that their boxes cause radio interference, AKA RFI/EMI!!!

ps,

They may, however, just be trying to promote sales of their own brand of spiral-wound magnetic spark plug cable sets ... ala Magnecor!

Thank you very much for your reply and time. I greatly appreciate it, I hope I can get more information about these plugs. I know they retailed for around $270.00, Beck/Arnley WorldParts was the distributor.

Best Regards,

Alex
