Headlight Washer Question - 81 930 Turbo

Hi,
I was curious if someone can give me advice on the easiest way to install and align the headlight washers on an 81 930 Turbo. As you can see from the picture below, mine are faded and not aligned properly. Thanks for your help.

I take the bumper off to change those. They will self align when you install the new ones. The new headlight washer will have a numb on it that will also fit in the hole you see in the bumper. When you get the bumper off you will see a plastic nut holding the washer on, undo that and undo the high pressure hose and replace headlight washer and place plastic nut back on and re-attach hose.

Its not too bad of a job if you can get the bumper off without scatching the paint. I would use and old blanket and place it on the floor/ground in front of the bumper.

I hope this helps and that I didn't forget anything. Your welcome to message me if I can be of any more help. Goodluck on changing them.

Headlight Washer Replacement

I managed to replace mine without removing the bumper. Not sure if it was easier though.

Easiest way to remove the old ones is to break off the top part and push them down through the bumper.

The passenger side one is relatively easy to get at and can be replaced without removing anything. You have to go at it somewhat blindly...

The driver's side was nasty. I had to remove front driver's side wheel and washer reservoir in the well to get at it and still had a difficult time.

Ended up putting about 2 hours into replacing them. Not sure how long it takes going the route of removing the bumper.

Good luck.
