Insurance ?
hey all
im changing my insurance over to Mercury (i think)- anyway, they will insure my car for a total of 20,500 and that's only after they saw the excellent condition it's in- i would like a bit higher-i.e. 23-24 range but they won't due it due to blue book vs. retail averages- anyone have tips on how to get them to budge or another reliable group that will? it's my daily driver and only insured car (audi cab is on the selling block) - thanks

If it's your DD then would recommend "standard" insurance with comp/coll coverage.
Total loss premium is cheaper, but why take the chance? I found that the difference between Leland West (limit of 5K miles/year) and AAA (changed mine to DD) was about $150/year. I feel safer with the comp/coll coverage since it's now a DD.

Insurers here have always asked for a report from a qualified appraiser. You must have them there. Try your local PCA.
