How in the world can i have these R12 cans delivered to me since the person that has them does not have an account with UPS/Fedex and with out an account you can not ship a hazardous material ( yes it is hazardous.. )
Thanks..

If shipped by ground and the R12 is packaged in an aerosol type can, they may be shipped by marking at least one side panel of the box as a "Consumer Commodity ORM-D" The carton should also have UP arrows on two opposing panels. This is a DOT approved shipping designation for aerosol cans, and no further Dangerous Goods paperwork or markings are required. This designation is allowed by Postal Service, UPS and FED-X for ground shipments.

Also note that if shipped by UPS, the box that you use must be a 200 lb test corrugated carton, and should be new.

If you are shipping a bigger container such as a 30 lb cylinder, you are SOL as it requires Dangerous Good markings and HAZMAT paperwork.

ORM = "Otherwise Regulated Material". I believe the D is a holdover from now obsolete DOT shipping regulations that were broken into sub parts.
