what mirrors?

A PO put weird little aftermarket mirrors on my '72. They not only look bad, they're hopelessly ineffective. I have a factory LH mirror and would like to get a RH matching one, most likely aftermarket. In fact, I've had one on order from another supplier who keeps making lame excuses about "backordered".

Any other suggestions? Durants?

Why not put SC or Carrera mirrors on both sides. Those will be effective and won't look horrendous on an early car.

I'll buy your left factory mirror if you decide to go that route.

I like the chrome mirrors - period correct & easy to clean bugs off.

CHoices:

1. original ones
2. chrome ones from a '74 (bigger)
3. BMW period mirrors - hard to tell that they aren't P ones

less nice to me:
4. some wierd aftermarket thing - Vitalonies or whatever

Thanks guys, and good advice Randy. I've tried to find a RH mirror, and I think that here in the US they were mostly aftermarket (although I might be able to source one in GB, Australia, etc.). Not a fan of the 76-89 flags, though--too heavy for the desired look.

BMW mirrors....hmmmm? Worth looking into....
