Tach swap gone wrong..

I;m trying to put a 2.0S tach into a 72-73 911 and it doesn't seem to work. Are they compatible or must I now find one from a later car??
Thanks
Nabil

Look for a post by John Cramer called "tachometer compatibility chart" or something of the like. Certain CD boxes work only with certain tachs, as I understand it. Good luck.

PS For Sale by Me: Very nice '72 "T" tach, just back from Palo Alto Speedo. Very nice. Guess why I have it?

Thanks, I got this one for the 7300 redline and it was very nice and clean to boot. Now fate deals me cruel blow, I have 2 'T' tachs and the one I wanna use is dead to me. The hunt continues.
