Question LED 911R lights/turnsignals

this might be a short lived thread, maybe I am the only one out there thinking about this but wouldn't it be 'better' to have LED in a 911R light vrs bulbs? Has anyone given some thought to it, done it?

Here is a provider of very good LED arrays that are perfect for the 911R tail lights...

I have contacted them, really nice folks, I inquired as to how long until we can get them in the same style as we can in the current bulb based versions e.g. with back-up light, etc. Seems that these versions are 'in work' and once available should allow for a conversion that is a little more complete than the current kits.

Oicks! Sorry guys but those LED assemblies are UGLY. I bought the housings from MotoMotions with the LED assemblies shown in the photo of the TRE parts ( or something similar). Believe it or not, I went down to the local truck stop and found a set in amber and red that look great, at least to me. Boy are they bright, and if you leave the parking lights on all night, as I did recently, they draw so little current that the car will still start in the morning! I did have to engineer a voltage regulator so I got park and stop out of the same LED cluster, but hey, that's what I do for a living. Anybody wants to know how, please Email me at adam at denderapartners.com, happy to share.

The lights are made by Maxxim, they are like 6 bucks apiece, waterproof, well made.
