Turn sigal realy..Where?
I have turn signals on my 83 that work one day and not the next. Fortunately they worked long enough yesterday for me to get my state inspection done, Wheww. Anyway I am to the point where I should try swapping the relay. Fully expected it to be one of the relays in my fuse box and of course it is not. it sounds like it might be behind the dash on the other side of the firewall from my master cylinder. Anyone know where I can find it I have no wire diagram or service manual yet. Thanks

Assuming the relay is in the same place as in earlier cars (mine is a 75), it is behind the dash. Access is through the trunk. Remove the piece which covers the area in front of the instruments. The relay is infront of the oil pressure/oil temp. gauge. It is a black "cube" shaped relay.

do my hazards run through the same relay b/c htey stopped working as well? But I think you are correct about the location of the relay, from the sound at least.

Yes, the hazards do run through the same relay. Not 100% sure, but you should be able to get to the relay by pulling out the oil pressure gage in the dash. Try that first, as it is easier than going in through the trunk...

People have told me the guages are easy to remove but I have not found this to be true. I will admitt that I did not want to damage anything on my guage face so I didnt really go at it and I knew if I stared prying on thigns with a screwdriver it woudl leave marks. Is this what I need to do, start prying at things and leave marks?

No - I think it is dependant on the car some times. Half of my gages I can pull out with my fingers, the rest I need to pry out. What I do is use a cooking spatula, and some cardboard. Put the cardboard against the dashboard, and slide the spatula between the back edge of the gage and the cardboard. That way you will not leave any marks anywhere
