MMASTRO project update!!
We really should have weighed the car before we began stripping it. This has to be the most paint I have ever removed from a single car plus we've removed a significant amount of filler.
But the good news is that it's now in primer. We reworked all the existing damage and managed to save all the original panels save the passenger door. I've got a good one so it will be donated to the project. The bumpers and tails are recieving their final prep and will be shot soon also. Here are a couple pics for the fun of it. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1147807326.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1147807340.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1147807373.jpg |
Looking great!
Look forward to seeing it in color! Doug |
I'm sure it will look perfect. I've seen your work in person!

I should have weighed my car before and after as well. I wish I was closer to you though. It would be nice to have a professional get mine right. I am truelly a rookie when it comes to body work. I stripped the car with chemicals keeping the stripper out of seams ect. I had at least 3 coats of color on the car. I plan on having it blasted then to finish the job, but in the mean time I have sprayed rattle cans of primer to protect the metal from flash rusting.

Thanks Chili. It's nice to know all this work is being appreciated.
Hang in there Rich, the first one is the hardest. After that the smart ones send 'em out to be painted!! |
