Nick in fan blade...Will it hurt???

Found this nick in my fan blade and was wondering if it is going to hurt? I don't feel it will, but wanted some expert advice. Thanx, Duke

I agree w/ Craig, it should not be an issue. Smoothing the edge is a good idea, though.

Will it hurt???
Hmmmmm... See the big "nick" in the picture and the small one below it???
Now see the many drilled out small dimples on the inside of the fan? That is factory balancing.....
So how much material was nicked off and how much more are you gonna sand off that blade??

Jon- Not quite yet. Tub goes Sat. to get powdercoated and primered. Had a guy thru the shop the other day who wanted to try and balance some stuff so I thought I would give him the fan. But needed to clean it up first.

tsuter- Yes my fan is at Hendricks right now getting balanced. Mainly posted this to see if any horror stories came up.
